Assistance for the Implementation of the STEAM-Based Numeracy Literacy Innovation Movement (GISITERA) to Train Numeracy Literacy Skills of Elementary School Students in the Border Areas of Sumenep Regency

Abstract


The National Literacy Movement (GLN) through the School Literacy Movement (GLS) is a very important initiative in building a literacy culture among students and school residents. However, in reality, numeracy literacy skills are still relatively low, there are no development programs carried out by schools, and the learning process tends to be monotonous. The purpose of this service activity is to assist in the implementation of the STEAM-based numeracy literacy innovation movement (GISITERA) to train the numeracy literacy skills of elementary school students in the border area of Sumenep Regency, precisely at SD Negeri Sentol Laok. The results of this service activity include: 1) understanding of teachers' knowledge which shows an increase in the results of pre-test and post-test work by 35.5; 2) teachers are able to implement GISITERA Based on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) in the learning process; 3) Students look enthusiastic in learning so that the learning process is more meaningful
