Focus and Scope
Kepada bapak/ib dan mahasiswa. Kami mengundang bapak/ibu untuk dapat menerbitkan jurnal pada MAGISTER HUKUM PASCASARJANA UNRIKA yaitu Jurnal Ilmu Hukum/ JIH. Jurnal ini berada pada topik-topik yang secara umum berkaitan dengan permasalahan Hukum di Indonesia dan dunia. Artikel yang dikirimkan dapat mencakup isu-isu dalam Hukum Perdata, Hukum Pidana, Hukum Acara Perdata, Hukum Acara Pidana, Hukum Dagang, Hukum Tata Negara, Hukum Internasional, Hukum Administrasi Negara, Hukum Adat, Hukum Islam, Hukum Agraria, Hukum Lingkungan Hidup, dan lainnya. Jurnal JIH terbit 2 (dua) nomor dalam setahun, yaitu bulan Juni dan Desember.

Journal JIH adopts blind peer reviews whereby the author also unaware of reviewer identity.
All submitted manuscripts to Jurnal JIH are checked for plagiarism using Turnitin.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
Copyright Licensing
JIH menggunakan perjanjian lisensi eksklusif. Penulis akan mempertahankan hak cipta bersama hak penggunaan ilmiah dan Universitas Riau Kepulauan melalui Program Pascasarjana akan diberikan hak penerbitan dan distribusi.
Akses penulis terbuka mempertahankan hak cipta dari makalah mereka, dan semua artikel terbuka didistribusikan di bawah syarat-syarat Lisensi Pengaitan Creative Commons (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0), yang memungkinkan orang lain mendistribusikan dan menyalin artikel asalkan karya asli dikutip dengan benar.
Pengguna tidak dapat mewakili penulis sebagai dukungan adaptasi artikel mereka, dan tidak mengubah artikel sedemikian rupa untuk merusak kehormatan atau reputasi penulis.
JMOB uses an exclusive license agreement. The author will defend the copyright along with the scientific use rights and Riau Kepulauan University will be given the rights to issue and distribute.

Users cannot represent authors as support for the adaptation of their articles and do not change articles in such a way as to damage the honor or reputation of the author.

Ethics Statement
Our Publication Ethics are based on COPE’s Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors.
Authors
- Reporting Standards: Authors should present an accurate account of the original research performed. Researchers should present their results honestly and without fabrication, falsification or inappropriate data manipulation. A manuscript should contain sufficient detail and references to permit others to replicate the work. Manuscripts should follow the submission guidelines of the journal.
- Originality and Plagiarism: Authors must ensure that they have written entirely original work. The manuscript should not be submitted concurrently to more than one publication. Relevant previous work and publications, both by other researchers and the authors’ own, should be properly acknowledged and referenced. The primary literature should be cited where possible. Original wording taken directly from publications by other researchers should appear in quotation marks with the appropriate citations.
- Multiple, Redundant, or Concurrent Publications: Author should not in general submit the same manuscript to more than one journal concurrently. It is also expected that the author will not publish redundant manuscripts or manuscripts describing same research in more than one journal.
- Acknowledgement of Sources: Authors should acknowledge all sources of data used in the research and cite publications that have been influential in determining the nature of the reported work. Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must always be given.
- Authorship of the Paper: The authorship of research publications should accurately reflect individuals’ contributions to the work and its reporting. Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to conception, design, execution or interpretation of the reported study. Others who have made significant contribution must be listed as co-authors.
- Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest: All authors should clearly disclose in their manuscript any financial or other substantive conflict of interest that might be construed to influence the results or interpretation of their manuscript.
- Fundamental Errors in Published Works: If the author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in the submitted manuscript, then the author should promptly notify the journal editor or publisher and cooperate with the editor to retract or correct the paper.
- Hazards and Human Subjects: The author should clearly identify in the manuscript if the work involves procedures or equipment that have any unusual hazards inherent in their use.
Duties of Editor
- Publication Decisions: Based on the review report of the editorial board, the editor can accept, reject, or request modifications to the manuscript. The validation of the work in question and its importance to researchers and readers must always drive such decisions. The editors may be guided by the policies of the journal's editorial board and constrained by such legal requirements as shall then be in force regarding libel, copyright infringement and plagiarism. The editors may confer with other editors or reviewers in making this decision.
- Review of Manuscripts: Editor must ensure that each manuscript is initially evaluated by the editor for originality. Editor should use appropriate peer reviewers for papers that are considered for publication by selecting people with sufficient expertise and avoiding those with conflicts of interest.
- Fair Play: The editor must ensure that each manuscript received by the journal is reviewed for its intellectual content without regard to sex, gender, race, religion, citizenship, etc. of the authors. An important part of the responsibility to make fair and unbiased decisions is the upholding of the principle of editorial independence and integrity.
- Confidentiality: The editor must ensure that information regarding manuscripts submitted by the authors is kept confidential. Editors should critically assess any potential breaches of data protection and patient confidentiality.
- Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest: The editor of the Journal will not use unpublished materials disclosed in a submitted manuscript for his own research without written consent of the author. Editors should not be involved in decisions about papers in which they have a conflict of interest.
Duties of Reviewers
- Confidentiality: Information regarding manuscripts submitted by authors should be kept confidential and be treated as privileged information. They must not be shown to or discussed with others except as authorized by the editor.
- Acknowledgement of Sources: Reviewers must ensure that authors have acknowledged all sources of data used in the research. Any statement that an observation, derivation, or argument had been previously reported should be accompanied by the relevant citation. The reviewers should notify the journal immediately if they come across any irregularities, have concerns about ethical aspects of the work, are aware of substantial similarity between the manuscript and a concurrent submission to another journal or a published article, or suspect that misconduct may have occurred during either the research or the writing and submission of the manuscript; reviewers should, however, keep their concerns confidential and not personally investigate further unless the journal asks for further information or advice.
- Standards of Objectivity: Review of submitted manuscripts must be done objectively and the reviewers should express their views clearly with supporting arguments. The reviewers should follow journals’ instructions on the specific feedback that is required of them and, unless there are good reasons not to. The reviewers should be constructive in their reviews and provide feedback that will help the authors to improve their manuscript.
- Disclosure and Conflict of Interest: Reviewers should not consider manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest resulting from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships or connections with any of the authors, companies, or institutions connected to the papers. In the case of double-blind review, if they suspect the identity of the author(s) notify the journal if this knowledge raises any potential conflict of interest.
- Promptness: The reviewers should respond in a reasonable time-frame. The reviewers only agree to review a manuscript if they are fairly confident they can return a review within the proposed or mutually agreed time-frame, informing the journal promptly if they require an extension.
Author Guidelines
Bagian berikut dari dokumen ini akan memberi Anda beberapa wawasan tentang bagaimana Anda dapat menggunakan dokumen ini sebagai templat untuk membuat kertas karya yang tampak bagus. Tujuannya adalah untuk membuat dokumen Anda terlihat “camera ready” sehingga kami tidak perlu melakukan modifikasi apa pun. Untuk kenyamanan Anda, ringkasan elemen-elemen utama adalah sebagai berikut.
1. Jurnal Ilmiah Hukum (JIH) menerbitkan artikel hasil penelitian yang terkait dengan ilmu hukum. Setiap naskah artikel yang dikirim harus melalui proses online pada sistem OJS dan direview oleh mitra bebestari (Blind Peer Review)
2. Naskah Artikel harus asli dan belum pernah dipublikasikan atau sedang diajukan untuk dipublikasikan dalam jurnal lain. Artikel yang pernah disajikan dalam suatu forum, misalnya seminar, harus disebutkan nama forumnya.
3. Penulisan naskah menggunakan bahasa Indonesia atau bahasa Inggris secara benar.
4. Panjang naskah minimal 8 halaman dan maksimal 15 halaman dengan spasi 1,15 poin, kertas ukuran A4, diketik satu setengah spasi, font Times New Roman 12 dengan program Microsoft Word. Margin harus ditetapkan sekitar 2,5cm di sekeliling. Dokumen harus menggunakan justifikasi rata kiri dan kanan. Setiap paragraf harus dimulai dengan tab kiri atau indentasi baris pertama (biasanya opsi tab default).
5. Artikel ditulis dengan ketentuan dan sistematika sebagai berikut:
- Judul: ditulis dengan singkat dan padat, maksimum 12 kata, mengandung kata kunci, dan harus mencerminkan substansi permasalahan yang diuraikan pada batang tubuh artikel. Judul makalah harus dalam HURUF KAPITAL, dicetak tebal, di tengah dan dalam font 14 poin.
- Nama penulis: ditulis di bawah judul, tanpa gelar. Penulis dapat individu atau tim dan semua penulis dicantumkan. Nama Penulis harus dalam huruf 12 poin, dicetak tebal dan di tengah. Harap jangan menggunakan gelar kehormatan untuk nama penulis (mis. PhD, Dr., dll.).
- Instansi atau afiliasi: ditulis instansi/afiliasi asal penulis, dan alamat email.
- Abstrak: ditulis dalam bahasa Indonesia dan Inggris, maksimum 150 kata dan ditulis dalam satu paragraf yang berisi (1) tujuan, (2) metode, dan (3) hasil penelitian.
- Kata kunci: diisi kata atau istilah yang mencerminkan esensi konsep dalam cakupan permasalahan, dapat terdiri atas beberapa buah kata/istilah. Kata kunci ditulis di bawah abstrak dengan jarak satu baris dan dicetak miring.
- Batang tubuh: terdiri atas (1) pendahuluan, (2) metode, (3) hasil dan pembahasan, (4) simpulan. 1) Pendahuluan: berisi masalah penelitian, situasi ilmiah kekinian sesuai fokus masalah, dan ulasan pustaka (state of art) yang menjadi landasan penelitian); 2) Metode: berisi pendekatan/cara/metode yang digunakan; 3) Hasil dan pembahasan: berisi hasil penelitian dan pembahasan hasil yang diperkuat dengan teori dan atau temuan penelitian lain yang relevan); 4) Simpulan: berisi garis besar simpulan penelitian dan saran sejalan dengan permasalahan yang dibahas.
- Judul Utama (Judul bab) dalam dokumen harus dalam HURUF KAPITAL, dicetak tebal dan di tempatkan di tengah dengan huruf standar 12 poin. Sub-bab harus dalam huruf kapital awal, dicetak tebal dan rata kiri (Capital Letters, bolded and left justified).
- Daftar pustaka: diusahakan dari sumber primer (jurnal/majalah ilmiah atau laporan penelitian) dan mutakhir/terbaru. Daftar pustaka hanya mencantumkan sumber yang dirujuk di dalam batang tubuh artikel. Sebaliknya nama yang dirujuk dalam batang tubuh harus ada dalam daftar pustaka. Ditulis mengunakan manajemen referensi Mendeley dan sejenisnya, dengan stail APA.
Jurnal: nama pengarang (jika lebih dari satu kata, nama belakang yang dijadikan entri, nama tengah dan depan di tulis inisial dengan Kapital), tahun, judul artikel, nama jurnal (cetak miring), volume, nomor, dan halaman. Ditulis satu spasi dan tampa jarak antar referensi. Contoh:
Ratnasari S. L., 2017. Aktualisasi Peran Pemimpin Nasional Dalam Pengembangan Sumber Daya Manusia Bidang Pariwisata. Dimensi, Volume 6 (3): 464-474.

Cara merujuk pengarang di dalam batang tubuh artikel menyebutkan nama belakang pengarang (sesuai entri pada daftar pustaka). Contoh: (Ratnasari, 2017) atau Ratnasari (2017).
Tabel dan ilustrasi dapat berupa gambar, grafik, diagram, peta dan foto disajikan dengan ketentuan:Ukuran gambar, grafik, tabel, dan sebagainya disesuaikan dengan ukuran kertas;Tabel menggunakan garis horisontal, tanpa garis vertikal. Judul tabel di atas tabel, diketik dari tepi kiri dan diberi nomor urut.Gambar, grafik, dan foto diberi kotak. Judul berada di bawah, diketik dari tepi kiri dan diberi nomor urut.
Artikel yang masuk akan diseleksi dengan ketentuan dapat diterima tanpa perbaikan, diterima dengan perbaikan, atau ditolak. Artikel yang ditolak tidak dikembalikan kecuali diminta oleh penulis.
