Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word (doc, docx) document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

If the source is an article in a general newspaper/magazine, it is written in the following order: author's name. year. title of the article. name of the newspaper/magazine. city, date of publication, and page (The title of the article is italicized). P.16 If the source is an online article (internet) without a place of publication and publisher, it is written in the following order: author's name. year. title of the article. Downloaded date at website address (Article title is italicized). Example: Levy, M. 2000. Environmental scarcity and violent conflict: a debate. Downloaded July 4, 2002. http://wwics.si.edu/organiza/affil/WWICS/PROGRAMS/DIS/ECS/report2/debate.htm Additional notes: sections and subsections There is no numbering in sections and subsections. The article is written in one column. Writing an article in two columns is not recommended for improvement and will be rejected. image caption Ensure that each illustration has a caption. Captions are made as Figures with consecutive numbers using Arabic numerals. A caption should consist of a short title (not on the figure itself) and a description of the illustration. Captions are not written in illustrations (figures) and are placed below the Figure in center format. table Number tables consecutively with Arabic numerals according to their appearance in the text. Avoid vertical lines in tables. Ensure that the same data in tables is not repeated in graphic form or vice versa. The table title is placed above the table with a single space and left-aligned format.

Privacy Statement

SIMBIOSA uses an exclusive licensing agreement. Authors retain copyright along with scholarly use rights, and the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Riau Islands University, is granted publishing and distribution rights.

Open access authors retain copyright in their papers, and all open access articles are distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY-SA), which allows others to distribute and copy articles as long as the original work is properly cited.

Users may not represent authors as endorsers of adaptations of their articles, and may not alter articles in a way that damages the author's honor or reputation.
